EDUCATION SCHEME

Dear members, well-wishers, supporters and all of you
who care enough to make the world a better place,

RE; Education Scheme for the needy
Lack of food, substandard housing, and inability to attend school are just a few of the challenges that many people face every day.

Many live in poverty and know the despair that accompanies such conditions. Loss of hope can be seen in children who at middle school or even younger say ‘it won’t matter anyway, I’m not going to finish school’ It’s heartbreaking to think they’ve already given up on themselves.

People come to UPENDO FOUNDATION for help every day. And we are able to provide that help thanks to your support.

They come for food, for clothing, for warmth, for help for their families, and for education.
I broke my heart to see the children at Mzumbe Primary School desperate to continue with studies were unable to get the required needs for school and we failed to secure the funds to support them.
Because of donor’s generosity, we were able to pay school fees and other school needs for children in Nyehunge Secondary School (Mwanza). Atleast they could then be able to focus on school work.
Your loyal, faithful support kept us operating since 2011.

But the needs continue. My prayer and wish list begins with enough food, water, and money for all those at a disadvantage, and for each child to have an opportunity for a good education, and jobs for the unemployed.

Recently a donor wrote, ‘It’s good to know there are people like your foundation volunteers with the courage to make a difference’

Yes, we are blessed with generous volunteers. But without generous donors who care about the less fortunate, none of it can happen! Only when you help us with donations and support can GOD’s mandate to love the poor be lived in Kilimanjaro, Mwanza, Dar-es-salaam, Morogoro and Arusha to mention a few.

We wish to inform you that UPENDO FOUNDATION has launched an Education scheme which targets to offer scholarships to more than 100 students during 2013/2014 and it’s seeking Tshs. 3,000,000 (Three million) and in achieving it we kindly ask you to be part of it and invest in shaping these children’s future lives.
You don’t have to be a saint to give, any donation will be generously appreciated not only by us at UPENDO FOUNDATION but most important the thousands of children facing challenges in their pursuit for education.

In this scheme also you can secure an opportunity to sponsor these children under your name. that is whenever you donate Tshs. 15,000 a file will be opened under your name and in it there will be a name of a single child who for every donation you make afterwards, 50% of it will be accredited to that particular child and he/she will recognize you as his/her sponsor for his/her education and you will be able to make a follow-up of the recipient whenever you wish to do so. The scheme will be in a grading system from Grade A to Grade D with Grade A providing sponsorship that will include school fees, academic fees (NECTA, mock), school uniforms and pocket money; Grade B will include school fees, academic fees and school uniforms; Grade C will include school fees and academic fees; and Grade D will include only school fees. Depending on your donations, your recipient will be moving from one grade to the other.
With many schools re-opening in July, we kindly ask you to please send your donations this month and above all we humbly ask you to support this course throughout its existence.

What greater gift can we provide to the elders and families than the basic necessities you and I take for granted? What greater gift for the children than opportunity…. The opportunity to learn skills for all their lives long!

Please help me and all of us at UPENDO FOUNDATION to do GOD’s work. It can’t happen without you!

NB: UNLESS someone like you cares so much, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.

In GOD’s love for Tanzanian children,

Arnold G. Tarimo
